Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020
Short title, commencement and collective citation
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or different provisions.
(3) The Coroners Acts 1962 to 2019 and Part 2 may be cited together as the Coroners Acts 1962 to 2020.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (14.09.2020) by Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2020 (S.I. No. 307 of 2020), in effect as per art. 2.
2. The 14th day of September 2020 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020) shall come into operation:
(a) subsections (1), (2) and (4) of section 5;
(b) section 23;
(c) section 24;
(d) section 25.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (15.08.2020) by Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Commencement) Order 2020 (S.I. No. 306 of 2020), in effect as per art. 2.
2. The 21st day of August 2020 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020) shall come into operation:
(a) Part 1, other than subsections (1), (2) and (4) of section 5;
(b) Part 2;
(c) Part 3;
(d) Part 4, other than sections 23, 24 and 25;
(e) Part 5, other than section 32.
