General

  1. The terms and conditions on which a Licensee may re-use Legislative Text appearing on this website are those set out in the Oireachtas (Open Data) PSI Licence. A Licensee re-using that Text must therefore comply with the terms and conditions of that licence.

  2. The terms and conditions on which a Licensee may re-use Annotation Text appearing on this website are those set out in the licence designated as the standard licence for the re-use of documents published by the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, as referred to in regulation 10(4) of the Regulations. That standard licence is the CC BY 4.0 Licence, as identified in paragraph 10 of Circular 20/2021: Open Data Directive (DPE 212/007/2020). The terms and conditions of that licence are to be treated as if they were written out in full as part of this Licence, and all those terms and conditions form part of the contract established by this Licence.

  3. Where the Licensee incorporates into its product, platform or service both Legislative Text and Annotation Text sourced from this website, it should, in satisfaction of its obligations under Section 3(a)(1)(A)(i) of the CC BY 4.0 Licence, include separate attribution statements that identify the Houses of the Oireachtas as the creator of the Legislative Text and the Licensor as creator of the Annotation Text. This is without prejudice to any obligations imposed on the Licensee under the Oireachtas (Open Data) PSI Licence in respect of Legislative Text.

  4. The Licensee, by availing of this Licence in respect of material covered by the Licence, is treated, without any further formality, as having made a request pursuant to regulation 6 of the Regulations for the release of that material for re-use and as having had that request granted.

  5. Pursuant to regulation 8 of the Regulations, permission to re-use material to which this Licence applies is granted free of charge.

  6. The failure to enforce at any time or for any period any one or more of the terms or conditions of this Licence is not to be construed as a waiver of them or of any right at any time to enforce all terms and conditions of this Licence.

  7. This Licence is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
