Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013

1

Short title, collective citation and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Water Services (No.2) Act 2013.

(2) The Water Services Acts 2007 and 2012, the Act of 2013 and this Act may be cited together as the Water Services Acts 2007 to 2013.

(3) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or different provisions, and for the repeal of different provisions effected by subsections (1) and (2) of section 4.

2. The 1st of February 2016 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013) shall come into operation:

(i) section 19

(ii) sub sections (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8) and (9) of section 28

(iii) section 30

2. The day appointed as the day on which subsection (2) (in so far as it relates to the repeal of section 12 of the Water Services Act 2013 (No. 6 of 2013)) of section 4 and section 35 of the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013) come into operation is the 3rd day of December 2014.

Power pursuant to section exercised (1.10.2014) by Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2014 (S.I. No. 422 of 2014).

2. The 1st day of October 2014 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013) shall come into operation:

(a) subsection (1), insofar as it is not already in operation, and subsection (3) of section 4;

(b) Part 3 (insofar as it is not already in operation);

(c) section 41.

Power pursuant to section exercised (7.02.2014) by Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (Commencement) Order 2014 (S.I. No. 76 of 2014).

2. The 7th day of February 2014 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013) shall come into operation:

(a) sections 22 and 33;

(b) Part 5 (other than section 41);

(c) section 44.

2. The 1st day of January 2014 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013) shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1, other than subsection (1) (insofar as it relates to the repeal of sections 105 and 106 of the Act of 2007) and subsections (2) and (3) of section 4;

(b) Part 2, other than section 19;

(c) Part 4, other than sections 28, 29, 30, 33 and 35;

(d) Part 6, other than section 44.
