Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015

1

Short title, construction and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015.

(2) Part 2 and the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park Act 1932 may be cited together as the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park Acts 1932 and 2015 and shall be construed together as one Act.

(3) Part 10 and the Water Services Acts 2007 to 2014 may be cited together as the Water Services Acts 2007 to 2015.

(4) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or provisions.

2. The 13th day of October 2017 is appointed as the day on which Part 3 of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (No. 29 of 2015) shall come into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (4) exercised (1.09.2016) by Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (Part 9) (Commencement) Order 2016 (S.I. No. 505 of 2016).

2. The 1st day of September 2016 is appointed as the day on which Part 9 of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (No. 29 of 2015) comes into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (4) exercised (1.01.2016) by Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (Commencement) (No. 3) Order 2015 (S.I. No. 537 of 2024).

2. The 1st day of January 2016 is appointed as the day on which section 48 of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (No. 29 of 2015) comes into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (4) exercised (1.10.2015) by Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2015 (S.I. No. 428 of 2015).

2. The 1st day of October 2015 is appointed as the day on which sections 47 and 51 of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (No. 29 of 2015) come into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (4) exercised (31.08.2015) by Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (Commencement) Order 2015 (S.I. No. 358 of 2015).

2. The day appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Environment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2015 (No. 29 of 2015), namely—

(a) Part 1 (sections 1 and 2),

(b) Part 2 (sections 3 to 16),

(c) Part 4 (sections 18 to 26),

(d) Part 5 (sections 27 to 30),

(e) Part 6 (sections 31 and 32),

(f) Part 7 (sections 33 to 43),

(g) Part 8 (section 44), and

(h) in Part 10, sections 49 and 50,

come into operation is 31 August 2015.
