42.— (1) The Authority may request the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána to provide any information requisite for the due performance of its functions in relation to any applicant for a licence or any licensee.

F2[(2) The Commissioner of the Garda Síochána shall, notwithstanding anything contained in any other enactment or rule of law, but subject to the Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, comply with a request under subsection (1).]
