Investigation of affairs of charitable organisation.

64.— The Authority may appoint a person (in this Act referred to as an “inspector”) or more than one such person to investigate the affairs of a charitable organisation and to prepare a report thereon in such manner as the Authority shall direct.

64.— F62[(1)] The Authority may appoint a person (in this Act referred to as an “inspector”) or more than one such person to investigate the affairs of a charitable organisation and to prepare a report thereon in such manner as the Authority shall direct.

F62[(2) An inspector appointed under subsection (1) shall be furnished with a warrant of his or her appointment and when exercising a power under this Act shall, if requested by any person affected thereby, produce the warrant, or a copy of it, to that person for inspection.

(3) The Authority shall notify the Minister for Education or the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, as appropriate, where the Authority appoints an inspector to investigate the affairs of a charitable organisation that is an education body.]
