Open seasons for certain protected wild birds.

24

24.—(1) Subject to sections 27 and 28 of this Act, the Minister may by order provide that any protected wild bird which is of a species specified in the order, may be hunted either throughout the State or in any part thereof specified in the order on a day or during a period of days so specified.

(2) An order under this section may contain different provisions in relation to different areas and different species of protected wild birds, including provisions limiting the total number of any particular such species which may, during a period of days specified in the order, be killed F72[…] in hunting in accordance with the order either in relation to the area as a whole to which the order applies or to part of such area.
