Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may by order or orders appoint either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or different provisions.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (15.05.2024) by Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024 (S.I. No. 215 of 2024).
2. The 15th day of May 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023 (No. 32 of 2023) shall come into operation:
(a) Part 1, other than sections 6 and 7;
(b) Part 2;
(c) Part 7;
(d) Part 8;
(e) Part 9, other than section 49.
