21

Short title and commencement

21. (1) This Act may be cited as the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016.

(2) This Act comes into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes and different provisions.

2. The day appointed as the day on which Section 12 of the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016 (No. 2 of 2016) come into operation is 1 January 2019.

2. The day appointed as the day on which section 18 of the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016 (No. 2 of 2016) comes into operation is 24 May 2017.

2. The day appointed as the day on which sections 5, 8, 11, 14, 15 and 16 of the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016 (No. 2 of 2016) come into operation is 1 January 2017.

The day appointed as the day on which sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 13, 17, 19, 20 and 21 of the Horse Racing Ireland Act 2016 (No. 2 of 2016) come into operation is 9 March 2016.
