Children First Act 2015
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Children First Act 2015.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or provisions.

2. The 11th day of December 2017 is appointed as the day on which the Children First Act 2015 (No. 36 of 2015), insofar as it is not already in operation, shall come into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (1.05.2016) by Children First Act 2015 (Commencement) Order 2016 (S.I. No. 211 of 2016).
2. The 1st day of May 2016 is appointed as the day on which—
(a) section 18, and
(b) sections 20 to 26,
of the Children First Act 2015 (No. 36 of 2015) shall come into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (11.12.2015) by Children First Act 2015 (Commencement) Order 2015 (S.I. No. 555 of 2015).
2. The 11th day of December 2015 is appointed as the day on which—
(a) sections 1 to 5, and
(b) section 28,
of the Children First Act 2015 (No. 36 of 2015) shall come into operation.
