Gender Recognition Act 2015
Short title and commencement
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Gender Recognition Act 2015.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or provisions.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (4.09.2015) by Gender Recognition Act 2015 (Commencement) Order 2015 (S.I. No. 369 of 2015).
2. The 4th day of September 2015 is appointed as the day on which the Gender Recognition Act 2015 (No. 25 of 2015), other than the following sections of that Act, shall come into operation:
(a) section 9(2)(b);
(b) section 10(1)(f)(i);
(c) section 11(2)(a)(ii);
(d) paragraphs (c) and (d)(ii)(I) of section 15(8);
(e) subsections (3) and (8) of section 18.
