Short title and commencement.

26.— (1) This Act may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Psychoactive Substances) Act 2010.

(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint, by order or orders, either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes and different provisions.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (23.08.2010) by Criminal Justice (Psychoactive Substances) Act 2010 (Commencement) Order 2010 (S.I. No. 410 of 2010).

2. The 23rd day of August 2010 is appointed as the day on which the Criminal Justice (Psychoactive Substances) Act 2010 (No. 22 of 2010) shall come into operation.
