Continuity of administration of justice not to be affected.

23.— (1) The continuity of the administration of justice shall not be interrupted by the—

(a) establishment of a combined court office under section 14,

(b) variation of the functions, or the dissolution, of a combined courts office under section 15, or

(c) making of an order under section 17.

(2) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1)

(a) on the establishment of a combined court office under section 14, the variation of the functions of a combined court office under section 15, or the making of an order under section 17 (1), the business of a constituent court office shall be continued in the combined court office,

(b) where business has begun to be transacted in a combined court office which, by virtue of the variation of the functions, or dissolution, of that office under section 15, is subsequently required to be transacted in another court office, that business shall be continued in that other court office, and

(c) where the Government make an order under section 17 (1), the business concerned that was transacted in a combined court office shall be continued by or before the registrar, or any person acting under the direction of such a registrar, of the Special Criminal Court concerned.
