CLUSTER MUNITIONS AND ANTI-PERSONNEL MINES ACT 2008

This Revised Act is an administrative consolidation of the Cluster Munitions and Anti-Personnel Mines Act 2008. It is prepared by the Law Reform Commission in accordance with its function under the Law Reform Commission Act 1975 (3/1975) to keep the law under review and to undertake revision and consolidation of statute law.

All Acts up to and including the Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (Covid-19) Act 2020 (2/2020), enacted 27 March 2020, and all statutory instruments up to and including the Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (Amendment) Regulations 2020 (S.I. No. 182 of 2020), made 21 May 2020, were considered in the preparation of this Revised Act.

AN ACT TO GIVE EFFECT TO THE CONVENTION ON CLUSTER MUNITIONS, DONE AT DUBLIN ON 30 MAY 2008, AND TO GIVE FURTHER EFFECT TO THE CONVENTION ON THE PROHIBITION OF THE USE, STOCKPILING, PRODUCTION AND TRANSFER OF ANTI-PERSONNEL MINES AND ON THEIR DESTRUCTION, DONE AT OSLO ON 18 SEPTEMBER 1997, AND TO PROVIDE FOR RELATED MATTERS.
