Markets in Financial Instruments and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2007
Commencement.
2.— (1) This Act comes into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order.
(2) Different days may be appointed under this section for different purposes or provisions of this Act.

2. Section 19 of the Markets in Financial Instruments and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2007 comes into operation on 1 February 2008.

Power pursuant to section exercised (1.11.2007 and 1.01.2008) by Markets in Financial Instruments and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2007 (S.I. No. 730 of 2007).
2. (1) Except as provided by paragraph (2), the provisions of the Markets in Financial Instruments and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2007 (other than sections 5, 8 and 19) come into operation on 1 November 2007.
(2) Section 25 of the Markets in Financial Instruments and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 2007 comes into operation on 1 January 2008.
