Pharmacy Act 2007
Short title and commencement.
1.— (1) This Act may be cited as the Pharmacy Act 2007.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or provisions.

Date from which s. 64(9) is to take effect prescribed (1.05.2010) by Pharmacy Act 2007 (Section 64(9)) Order 2009 (S.I. No. 282 of 2009).
2. The 1st day of May 2010 is appointed as the day on which section 64(9) of the Pharmacy Act 2007 (No. 20 of 2007) shall take effect.

Power pursuant to section exercised (1.08.2009) by Pharmacy Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2009 (S.I. No. 281 of 2009).
2. The 1st day of August 2009 is appointed as the day on which the Pharmacy Act 2007 (No. 20 of 2007) shall come into operation insofar as it is not already in operation.

Power pursuant to section exercised (29.11.2008 and others) by Pharmacy Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2008 (S.I. No. 487 of 2008).
3. The 29th day of November 2008 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act come into operation:
(a) sections 4, 13 (other than subsections (1)(a)(iv) and (1)(c)), 14 to 17, 19, 21 to 24 and 59 to 62;
(b) Part 5 (other than sections 27(e), 28(d) and 29(e));
(c) Part 7;
(d) Part 8 (except insofar as it is already in operation);
(e) Schedules 2, 3 and 4.
4. The 1st day of January 2009 is appointed as the day on which sections 13(1)(a)(iv), 13(1)(c) and 20 of the Act come into operation.
5. The 1st day of April 2009 is appointed as the day on which sections 27(e), 28(d) and 29(e) of the Act come into operation.

Power pursuant to section exercised (22.05.2007) by Pharmacy Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2007 (S.I. No. 243 of 2007).
2. The 22nd day of May 2007 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Pharmacy Act 2007 (No. 20 of 2007) shall come into operation—
(a) Part 1 (other than section 4);
(b) Part 2;
(c) Part 3;
(d) Section 18;
(e) Section 76;
(f) Schedule 1.
