Commencement.

2.—(1) This Act, other than Parts 9 and 11, shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different provisions or different purposes.

(2) Part 9 of this Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Taoiseach may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different provisions or different purposes.

(3) Part 11 of this Act is deemed to have come into operation on 1 April 2004.

2. The 4th day of July 2006 is appointed as the day on which the Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act 2005 (No. 18 of 2005) (other than Part 9), shall come into operation, insofar as it is not already in operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (2) exercised (4.07.2006) by Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act 2005 (Section 31) (Commencement) Order 2006 (S.I. No. 355 of 2006).

2. The 4th day of July 2006 is appointed as the day on which section 31 of the Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act 2005 (No. 18 of 2005) shall come into operation.

Power pursuant to subs. (1) exercised (6.10.2005) by Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act 2005 (Commencement) (Section 8) Order 2005 (S.I. No. 763 of 2005).

2. The 6th day of October 2005 is appointed as the day on which section 8 of the Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act 2005 shall come into operation.
