CRIMINAL JUSTICE (ILLICIT TRAFFIC BY SEA) ACT 2003

This Revised Act is an administrative consolidation of the Criminal Justice (Illicit Traffic by Sea) Act 2003. It is prepared by the Law Reform Commission in accordance with its function under the Law Reform Commission Act 1975 (3/1975) to keep the law under review and to undertake revision and consolidation of statute law.
All Acts up to and including the Child and Family Agency (Amendment) Act 2021 (34/2021), enacted 24 November 2021, and all statutory instruments up to and including the Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2021 (Commencement) Order 2021 (S.I. No. 601 of 2021), made 17 November 2021, were considered in the preparation of this Revised Act.

AN ACT TO GIVE EFFECT TO THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE AGREEMENT ON ILLICIT TRAFFIC BY SEA IMPLEMENTING ARTICLE 17 OF THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION AGAINST ILLICIT TRAFFIC IN NARCOTIC DRUGS AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES, TO AMEND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACT 1994 AND TO PROVIDE FOR RELATED MATTERS.
