Short title and commencement.

16.—This Act may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Community Service) Act, 1983, and shall come into operation on such day as the Minister appoints by order.

Power pursuant to section exercised (29.11.1984) by Criminal Justice (Community Service) Act, 1983 (Commencement) Order 1984 (S.I. No. 309 of 1984), in operation as per art. 2.
2. The 5th day of December, 1984, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Criminal Justice (Community Service) Act, 1983 (No. 23 of 1983), shall come into operation.
