Appointment of keepers by grantees under oyster fishery orders.

264.For the purpose of protecting an oyster fishery granted under an oyster fishery order, the grantee or grantees, under the hands of any two of them, where more than two, may, subject to the approval of the Minister, appoint at the cost and expense of the grantees, any keeper they consider necessary for the protection of the fishery, and any keeper so appointed may enforce any regulations made under section 263 in respect of such oyster fishery and shall have all the powers conferred on water keepers by this Act.

17.—Sections 263 and 264 of the Principal Act shall, with the necessary modifications, each apply to any operation carried on pursuant to a licence as they apply to an oyster fishery granted under an oyster fishery order.

Provision in relation to Moville Area.

30.—(1) Sections 102, 103 and 114 and Parts XIII to XVI (which provisions relate to sea fisheries and certain other matters) of the Principal Act shall (notwithstanding section 325 of that Act) extend to the Moville Area and, for the purpose of giving full effect to the said provisions, every other provision of the Principal Act or of this Act which is applicable in relation to any of the said provisions shall also extend to that Area.
