Duty to notify registered nurse or midwife of Board’s sanction.

71.— (1) Subject to subsection (2), the Board shall, as soon as is practicable after deciding under section 69 to impose a sanction on a registered nurse or registered midwife, give notice in writing to the nurse or midwife and, in any case where the Board is not the complainant, the complainant, of—

(a) the nature of the sanction that the Board has decided to impose,

(b) the date on which the decision was made, and

(c) the reasons for the imposition of the sanction.

F70[(2) Where the Board has decided to impose a sanction on a registered nurse or registered midwife (other than a sanction arising from measures referred to in section 69(2)), the Board shall give notice in writing to the nurse or midwife of the nurses or midwifes entitlement, under section 73, to appeal to the Court against the decision.]
