57.—(1) F18[Subject to section 54A,] a registered person (or an agent or employee acting on his or her behalf) shall not employ a person who is not a registered person, to engage in the practice of veterinary medicine on behalf of the registered person.

(2) A registered person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence.
