Ombudsman for Children Act 2002
Short title and commencement.
1.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Ombudsman for Children Act, 2002.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days, not later than 2 years after the passing of this Act, as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or different provisions.

2. The 25th day of April 2004 is appointed as the day on which the Ombudsman for Children Act 2002 (No. 22 of 2002) (except insofar as it is already in operation) shall come into operation.

2. The day of 18 December, 2003 is appointed as the day on which section 4 of the Ombudsman for Children Act (No. 22 of 2002) comes into operation.
