Ill-treatment of inferiors.
140.— Every person subject to military law who strikes or otherwise ill-treats any member of the Defence Forces, who by reason of rank or appointment is subordinate to him, is guilty of an offence against military law and shall, on conviction by court-martial, be liable to suffer imprisonment F93 [ for any term not exceeding two years ] or any less punishment awardable by a court-martial.
