Remuneration of directors

1092. (1) F732[Subject to subsection (4), each] provision of this section applies save to the extent that the PLC’s constitution provides otherwise.

(2) F732[Subject to section 1110M, the remuneration of] the directors of a PLC shall be such as is determined, from time to time, by the PLC in general meeting and such remuneration shall be deemed to accrue from day to day.

(3) The directors of a PLC may also be paid all travelling, hotel and other expenses properly incurred by them—

(a) in attending and returning from—

(i) meetings of the directors or any committee referred to in section 160(9), or

(ii) general meetings of the PLC,

or

(b) otherwise in connection with the business of the PLC.

F733[(4) Where Chapter 8C applies to a PLC, nothing in this section shall be read as disapplying, or allowing a PLC to disapply, a requirement under that Chapter.]
