Commencement.

2.— (1) This Act comes into operation on such day or days as the Minister may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to a particular purpose or provision. Different days may be so appointed for different purposes or different provisions.

(2) An order under subsection (1) may, in relation to the amendments of Acts and statutory instruments set out in Schedules 1 to 3, appoint different days for the amendment of different Acts or statutory instruments or different provisions of them.

2. The day of the making of this Order is appointed as the day on which item 39 (in so far as it inserts section 32B into the Central Bank Act 1942 (No. 22 of 1942)) of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (No. 23 of 2010) comes into operation.

Power pursuant to section exercised (1.01.2011) by Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) (No. 2) Order 2010 (S.I. No. 686 of 2010).

2. The 1st day of January 2011 is appointed as the day on which sections 6 and 15(5) of, and Part 5 of Schedule 2 to, the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (No. 23 of 2010) come into operation.

Power pursuant to section exercised (1.10.2010) by Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2010 (S.I. No. 469 of 2010).

2. The 1st day of October 2010 is appointed as the day on which the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (No. 23 of 2010) comes into operation, with the exception of the following provisions:

(a) section 6;

(b) section 15(5);

(c) so much of Schedule 1, part 1, item 39 as inserts section 32B into the Central Bank Act 1942 (No. 22 of 1942);

(d) Schedule 2, Part 5.
