Road Transport Act 1999
Commencement.
24.—(1) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed by order or orders of the Minister, either generally or with reference to a particular purpose or provision, and different days may be so fixed for different purposes and different provisions of this Act.
(2) An order under this section may as respects the repeal affected by section 23 and the Schedule to this Act fix different days for the repeal of different provisions mentioned in column (3) of that Schedule or for the repeal for different purposes of any such provisions.

The day fixed as the day on which the repeal of a provision of an Act mentioned in column (3) of the Schedule to this Order opposite mention of the Act in column (2) of the Schedule, being a provision repealed by section 23 of the Road Transport Act 1999 (No. 15 of 1999), comes into operation is 31 October 2005.

2. The day fixed as the day on which sections 4 to 8 and section 11 of the Road Transport Act, 1999 (No. 15 of 1999), shall come into operation is 30 September 2005.
