Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2012
Short title and commencement.
16.— (1) This Act may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2012.
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day or days as the Minister F4[for Health] may appoint by order or orders either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so appointed for different purposes or provisions.

2. The 20th day of September 2012 is appointed as the day on which the Criminal Justice (Female Genital Mutilation) Act 2012 (No. 11 of 2012) shall come into operation.
