Religion.
32.— Notwithstanding section 20 , the Authority shall not make an adoption order in any case in which the applicant or applicants, as the case may be, the child and—
( a) the child’s parents, or
( b) the child’s mother, if the child is born of parents not married to each other,
are not all of the same religion (if of any religion), unless every person whose consent to the making of the adoption order is necessary under section 26 knows, when consenting, the religion (if any) of the applicant or each of the applicants, if they are a married couple.
